Late Season Baseball Lines

American League
NY Yankees (3:1)
PT: Do you really have faith in A-Rod when it matters? Plus this is usually the time of year CC realizes he is 300 lbs.
LJ: Rumor has it A-Roid's lady pushing for a little Rod, as if A-Roid's wasn't shriveled enough. I merrily predict this to end badly. Enjoy it NY tabloids.

Boston Red Sox (6:1)
PT: Beckett is great. Big Papi needs some of his magical juice.
LJ: Beckett is great. Needs some help.

LA Angles (7:1)
PT: How can a team with Tori Hunter and Vlad be this boring?
LJ: Vlad finally healthy: hitting over .360 over past 13 games (even with a month off in between.)

Detroit Tigers (10:1)
PT: Great pitching. Would have to get hot to win two series.
LJ: Strong at home, weak away.

Chicago White Sox (10:1)
PT: Love the new additions
LJ: Peavy making Minor League starts, will boost rotation soon.

Tampa Bay (15:1)
PT: Too far out and that makes the rest of the teams happy. If they get in the playoffs, watch out.
LJ: Lost 4 in a row as of today, 10.5 back. Reaching a "put up or shut up" point in the season.

Texas Rangers (20:1)
PT: Kevin Millwood is your ace. Think about that. Who pitches Game 2, Kent Merker?
LJ: Rangers have been big offense, small pitching for years. How'd they miss Pedro?

National League:
Philadelphia Phillies (3:1)
PT: Hamels and Lee will be tough. Bad city karma with Vick?
LJ: Loved seeing Pedro back pitching. Team to beat in NL.

LA Dodgers (5:1)
PT: Will Torre in usual fashion have his pen exhausted by October?
LJ: Consistent with sizable 5 game lead in division. Manny will always be Manny.

St. Louis Cardinals (5:1)
PT: I doubt the ‘Baseball Gods’ would give me 2 rings in 4 years.
LJ: I doubt PT factors into the equation, but Pujols best player in baseball.

San Francisco Giants (10:1)
PT: Would you want to face the in a short series?
LJ: No offense. Least runs scored in ML outside SD.

Colorado Rockies (20:1)
PT: WHO?????
LJ: Can gain ground in division with Nationals and Padres series over next 5 games.

Atlanta Braves (50:1)
PT: Next.
LJ: Went to ATL earlier this season for Red Sox match-up. Weak hitting ATL doesn't have it this year...

Chicago Cubs (1,000,000:1)
PT: What will their excuse be this time? ‘Next year is ours’!
LJ: Red Sox and White Sox have ended their suffering...when is the Cubbies' time? (Not this year.)
