Wednesday Afternoon Links

1. CollegeHoops.net Releases Preseason Basketball Rankings: Pack #119? LINK
LJ: Pack is #119 in the early goings. Legitimate concerns expressed about lack of inside threats now that Lorenzo Brown did not qualify. I'm still hoping for a return of a Fire & Ice, Gugs, or Todd Fuller situation over in Raleigh. The Tar Heels will still dominate, but the Pack would at least be a bigger thorn in Duke's side.
PT: According to this poll, we are behind the basketball powers of Sam Houston St., Troy, and Oakland. UNREAL. Losing Lo Brown really hurts, but I would hope we are not this bad.

2. Current Debate: Tim Tebow Greatest Ever? Bowden: Nope. LINK
LJ: Bowden started a conversation that is gaining momentum. Twitter has the columnists buzzing about Tommie Frazier, Charlie Ward, Michael Vick, Vince Young...to name a few. I mean, Spurrier didn't even vote Tebow first team All SEC. I thought Chris Keldorf in '97-'98 was pretty special...
PT: Two words: Philip Rivers. Speaking of Keldorf, how is it possible that a QB from unc has never thrown a touchdown in the NFL? I guess the Luke Huard’s of the world do not always pan out.

3. SEC Bans Social Media: LINK
LJ: Speaking of the SEC, how do they expect to enforce this? When I lived in Atlanta, SEC fans proudly told me, "If you want an education go to the ACC, if you want to play football come to the SEC." Obviously...case in point.
PT: What are the odds Lane Kiffin breaks all these rules in week 1? Anyway, who cares, we focus on the ACC.

4. Morning radio waves asked the question if the Panthers were better with Delhomme or the QB who shall not be named in MN?
LJ: After quickly changing the station (SEE POST) I decided that was a lose, lose, lose situation (cite: Michael Scott). Each team loses and I lose for thinking about it.
PT: They both are not afraid to turn the ball over. However, at least Jake’s teammates all seem to like him.

5. Is a Horse-Power Joke Inappropriate? LINK
LJ: You would think they would try to take precautions with such big animals roaming the potential course - but it is South America. I often question things that happen in South Carolina, as well, but the end result is generally a shoulder shrug.
PT: That was disturbing. The way the car kept going made me think it was a tank.
