The State of the Old North State (Week 2)

LJ: Not a pretty opening (2-4) for the ACC or the schools of North Carolina opening weekend. Much is left to be proved during the infancy of the 2009 season. Were the bumps just growing pains?

UNC (1-0):
After throttling their FCS opponent last weekend, the Heels look to run over their first FBS opponent UConn in CT.
NCSU (0-1): The Pack looks to rebound after a disappointing and underwhelming opening weekend. Expect the Pack to pour it on this weekend against a weaker opponent.
WFU (0-1): Wake lost to a Big 12 private school at home last weekend. How will they fair against a Pac10 private school in Winston this weekend?
Duke (0-1): Losing the season/home opener to an FCS school does not bode well for the Blue Devils.
ECU (1-0): The Pirates came out guns a'blazin' last weekend, but had to hold on in the end to secure the win. Will need a full game to handle WVU in WV who will want revenge for the 24-3 teeth kicking they took last year in Greenville.
App St. (0-1): It looked like it was going to be embarrassing early last weekend, but the 'Neers showed pride and made it respectable. They should easily handle a weaker opponent this weekend.
